James Gonthier Harriet: From Montreal to the Open Road
James Gonthier Harriet, hailing from Montreal, Quebec, joined our team just nine weeks ago. His journey to Bulk Carriers began while working with mechanics, delivering parts from East Coast International. "They had good things to say about the business," James shares, highlighting how our reputation played a crucial role in attracting him to our company.
Describing his first day of training as "Captivating, Impressive, Inspiring," James has been particularly struck by "all the many regulations" in the Canadian trucking sector. What has impressed him most about Bulk Carriers? "The inclusivity of everyone," he states, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a welcoming and diverse workplace.
Aniss Belkouri: A New Adventure from Morocco
Aniss Belkouri brings an international perspective to our team, originally hailing from Morocco. For Aniss, joining Bulk Carriers marks his first experience in the trucking industry, an adventure he describes as "Exciting, enlightening, challenging."
What drew Aniss to long-haul trucking with Bulk Carriers? "The opportunity to combine my passion for driving with the chance to explore new places and take on challenges," he explains. Aniss has been particularly impressed by Bulk's culture of teamwork and collaboration, noting how it "fosters a positive environment that encourages innovation and growth."
Paul Darren Kinnersley: Four Decades of Experience
Paul Darren Kinnersley brings a wealth of experience to our team, having been a truck driver for an impressive 40 years. Originally from Hebburn, near Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the North East of England, Paul was drawn to Bulk Carriers for multiple reasons, including our comprehensive benefits and work-life balance.
Paul describes his first day of training as "Friendly, informative and fun!" He's been particularly impressed by "The friendly, approachable nature of everyone that I've met so far. In addition, the people are very relaxed and the word 'stress' doesn't seem to be a part of your vocabulary."
Simon Rudolph: International Expertise
Simon Rudolph joins us from Germany, bringing 25 years of trucking experience to our team. His international background adds another layer of diversity to our workforce. Simon's enthusiasm for the profession shines through as he describes what attracted him to Bulk Carriers: "I have always been an enthusiastic truck driver and have driven internationally... Bulk is the most familiar and driver-friendly company that is always there for you if you have problems. You can also achieve something here other than driving a truck."
Simon found his first day of training to be full of "Fun, lots of new words, and passion." His extensive experience in Europe has given him a unique perspective on the trucking industry in Canada. When asked about the most surprising thing he's learned, Simon notes, "You cannot and should not compare it with Europe."
Looking ahead, Simon is excited about the adventures that await him: "Oh yes, then I can finally go on tour again, meet new customers, and experience a new adventure every day here in Canada and the USA." This enthusiasm for exploration and customer interaction aligns perfectly with our company's values.
Simon also shared a valuable piece of advice from his trainers, delivered with a touch of humor: "Well, it's better to slow down and take it easy. Simon, stop thinking you're still in Europe :-)" This lighthearted reminder underscores the importance of adapting to new environments and prioritizing safety.
